I am Jennifer, a mother to five incredible children aged between 3 and 12. Despite facing challenges such as fibromyalgia, hyper-mobility, chronic anxiety, hemiplegic migraines, chronic migraines, and sciatica in my spine, I refuse to let these obstacles define me or hinder my pursuit of goals.
Adding to my diverse portfolio of roles, I am the proud owner of Saorsa Cosmetics and The Saorsa Beauty Academy, situated in the vibrant city of Glasgow!
Like many parents, my driving force is my children, albeit for unique reasons…
In the tumultuous year of 2019, marred by a near-death experience during a miscarriage, I confronted a terrifying cancer scare that lingered for eight long months. This nerve-wracking period extended into the onset of the pandemic, delaying my biopsy results. Thankfully, after enduring this nerve wracking journey, I received the much-awaited news of a clear biopsy result (albeit in the midst of lockdown in 2020, which in itself was not joyous). This life-altering experience propelled me to embark on a new chapter… a chapter dedicated to creating my own freedom, safeguarding my compassionate nature, plunging myself into research, educational courses and securing a brighter future for my children. Thus, the seeds of Saorsa Cosmetics and The Saorsa Beauty Academy were sown, with “saorsa,” meaning “freedom” in Scottish Gaelic, symbolizing the essence of our endeavors.
Saorsa Cosmetics stands as a paragon of eco-consciousness, offering vegan-friendly, non-toxic, cruelty-free cosmetics. The forthcoming Saorsa Beauty Academy is poised to provide fully accredited, insured beauty courses, enriching aspiring professionals with the skills and knowledge to thrive in the industry. Presently, our repertoire includes lavish professional spray tan solutions, self-tan mousse ranges, and we eagerly anticipate the launch of new product lines encompassing makeup, skincare, and grooming essentials for men. Additionally, we extend our support to businesses through trade, wholesale and educator accounts.
